    This is a good guide. It's hard to detail all the steps for building a good home lab in a post here, so a comprehensive guide like this is really useful.

    That's what I really liked about it. It's more along the lines of the proverb "Give a man a fish". It's easy to tell someone "yeah you need 4 of x and 4 of y" but this rarely teaches you the how and why.

    The other part I like is how he draws an explicit parallel to how you would set up any network, using the PPDIOO approach. That kind of learning is what I think makes labs so valuable. You aren't just learning the specific things for an exam, but you are learning a whole bunch of practical skills at the same time.
