Failed Project +

Good morning Tech Fam,

I took the Project + exam yesterday for my WGU curriculum and failed. I read all of the material but obviously the material didn't stick. I dont have any project experience whatsoever. Are there any videos any of you know of that I can watch ?

As part of WGU, you can get 90 days of access to Pluralsight for free. There are also several sources of varying quality on YouTube. CBTNuggets is always an option, although it is costly if you are paying out of pocket. What did your score report say? What were the questions that gave you the most issues? Also, did you take any classes at WGU of the business nature prior to this course? I found Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior and Leadership, and Business of IT Applications to be very useful and great building blocks going into this course.

I can? I was unaware about that. I got a list of the objectives I missed and I've been watching some cbt nugget videos on those subject matters. Those other Business courses I was able to skip because of my transferring credits. I have never had any project related experiences. The CBT nugget courses have really been helping me.

Yeah, the sign-up for the Pluralsight access is on the WGU Dreamspark site.

What material specifically was offered for the WGU course? I read the Sybex book after watching the PluralSight videos. It helped a lot and was surprisingly less dry than the videos.

As an additional resource through WGU, you get an indefinite subscription to Lynda Premium. There's a whole mess of business/project management related videos. Reference the "How to Login to Lynda.com Directly" instructions...

WGU provides uCertify materials along with mixed in videos from Lynda specifically for that class.

They had a 90-day trial offer, but as of today they have been sending out notifications that Pluralsight is now a free perk, just like Lynda. I don't know how their rolling it out (all at once, by college, by program, etc.), so keep an eye on your WGU email.
