70-765 Provisioning SQL Databases - Anyone written it?

benedict_66benedict_66 Member Posts: 8 ■□□□□□□□□□
Hello
I passed 70-461 and 70-462 last year.
Now I have signed up to do 70-765 Provisioning SQL Databases.

Anyone written it? And what do you have to say about it?

It's my next exam for my MCSA SQL 2016 Database Administration. It looks very Azure heavy from what I read on the learning site and unfortunately there isn't much training material available.

Passed 70-765 today with 800+ in less than a hour
I'm not a DBA and we are not using Azure
https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/4734/microsoft-70765-exam-materials--provisioning-sql-databases/
I've used:
measureup demo test (5 questions) as a starting point
'Pro SQL Server on Microsoft Azure' ebook
'Microsoft Azure Essentials Migrating SQL Server Databases to Azure ' ebook
MVA course (is obsolete)
docs.microsoft.com
Basic azure knowledge is required (i.e. what is availability set, how to create VM, what is a virtual network, what is the premium/standard storage etc, pricing). there was also a lot of on-premises related questions. IMO that exam was much easier than 70-764.
Also my score report does not include the "Deploy and migrate applications" section O_O I don't think that I've no right answers to questions in this area

Thanks for your reply!

May I ask how many questions it was? Or is that to ask too much?

Hi,
As I mentioned before, my score report doesn't contain a "Deploy and migrate applications" section.
Microsoft guys say that the exam details page has not been updated (I can assume that after the beta period MS decided to remove from the exam the entire section) and they will fix it.
So there will be no questions in this skill area for everyone will seat for that exam. I will be surprised if someone didn't pass 70-765.

Can somebody help me out here?
I have 70-461 (querying) and 70-462 (DBA) ,but not 70-463 (BI).
So I am not MCSA because I dont have 463.

I read that to upgrade MCSA 2012/2014 to MCSA only one exam per area (querying, DBA, BI) is required.

So I would like to do 70-765 which is in the DBA area. Does that mean that if I pass 70-765 I will become MCSA DBA 2016?

Your best bet is to use the certification planner in the MCP site. Although mine also incorrectly told me that I needed two more exams for the MCSA SAL 2012\2014.

My route was ridiculous.
