Completed MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure

I passed 70-744 Securing Windows Server to complete the MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure. The exam was not too difficult, I only used the Exam Reference for book material and did some labs for containers, Just-Enough Administration, and shielded virtual machines.

The Exam Ref was really good for this exam. The "lab" and I use that term loosely here, because it was just a couple Windows 2016 Server VMs in Hyper-V on my Surface that I used to test a few things in PowerShell that book explained and the areas above that I had mentioned.

I'm using the Exam Ref for the MCSA 2016 Upgrade, but it is a lot of a read haha! I'm using Pluralsight mostly for the upgrade exam. How do VMs run on a Surface? - I'm interested to know.

One of the best skills people can learn when studying is to create a study plan. Break the content into chunks. I do this a week before I start training. For example, I'm doing the 70-697. The first week I read through the book 2 chapters at a time. The next week, I watch the CBT Nuggets videos I have access to, 6 per day. The third week I cross-reference the videos to the book notes, creating my own customised books with notes in the margins, etc.

On the 4th week I go back to the book, reading through the same sections in the same order as Week 1, but with the added cross-referenced notes. Hasn't let me down thus far!

With Windows 10 you can run Hyper-V and load as many VMs as your host can allocate resources. I had 2 Windows 2016 Servers and a couple of containers that I was playing around with.
