Video Recording Software

Can anyone recommend a good video recording software? I feel that the one that came with my Logitech PC cam is a bit too bloated.

Thanks

Snagit by Techsmith is great. Only $50, too. You can use it for both video recording and screen captures.

Maybe Camtasia, but last I checked, was still pretty expensive.

    FYI
TedJames's recommendation for snagit is just fine for what I need. The editor is a little lacking but I'm just looking for a means to record myself and some screens

    Thanks again

I can heartily recommend OBS. Free, can edit the screen live as it's being recorded, including overlays and bringing third-party information via extensions. Can also stream as well as transition screens on the fly.
