What are Easy certs?

So there was a thread recently about what the hardest certs are, but I was thinking what are some 'easy' certs to get. Things that might take only a few days or a couple of weeks of study if you are coming in fairly new to the area.

One I might put out there is the Apple Certified Associate - Mac Integration Basics. It's unproctored online, and all the answers to the questions are in a ~50pp guide (free download). If you use Macs regularly, then it's probably the kind of thing you could prepare for in weekend.

ITIL Foundation is probably a candidate, too, since most people pass after a 4 day bootcamp course, and many people pass after reading one book.

I probably wouldn't put A+ in this category since for most people it is a first cert, and it has two exams, and there is a fair amount of material.

VMware VCA is probably one of these.

These "easy" certs could be useful if you want to bulk out your resume, or fill a gap in skills for a new job.

That set of certs covers a very broad range of topics. Typically, people who want to be developers don't want to be network engineers who don't want t be project managers. I'm a fan of people starting off as generalists then moving on to a specialty but generalist in things that work well together, not whatever stuck to the wall after you threw the entire list at it.

Start with a couple of MS exams (like Server 2012/2016 and an Infrastructure) then move on to something supporting the virtual environment (VCP or a MS Hyper-V course) then move on to the CCNA. Once you have that broader understanding of the environment, figure out what you've liked and the direction business is going in your area to see where you might want to start focusing. It could be by the time you reach this point that you'll want to dive deep into storage or Citrix or maybe become that project manager.

Any Qualys test/certification. Listen to the presentation, take the exam and wait for the pass. Really, this is a easy as it gets. Free too! I have nothing against Qualys and have been quite satisfied with the quality of the findings provided but the exams are a pittance.
