Passed CISSP - first try

in CISSP
Most of my studying consisted of reading the Jeff Aiken novels by Mark Russinovich and Exploited by Meredith Walters. Oh and the Swift on Security twitter feed.

Honestly I didn't find that test that hard. Not sure what the big deal is.

    Do shed a bit more light, how long were you studying for? How much experience do you have in the security space? Did you use any other material? Practice tests?

    Not going to impress anyone bragging that CISSP is not a big deal. It is a matter of perception.

    Russinovich is fine, but "Swift on Security" sucks.

    You seem to be seeking challenging stuff, try offensive sec certs or CISSP concentrations other than ISSMP.

    Well to be honest, I do also watch Mr. Robot and watched Blackhat the night before the test, but I didn't consider that part of my formal preparations.

    OK, you got me. I did watch Hackers too, but that was kind of embarrassing so I didn't really want to admit it.

    Did you guys know that there is a 5 year experience requirement and someone has to endorse you after you take the test? If I had known that I wouldn't have bothered. I thought this was supposed to be an entry level thing.
