Passed 720/800 I didn't find the test that bad, however you really need to know your stuff directories, syntax and switches.

Prepared by reading, Linux Academy and transcender practice exams, all topped up with flash cards from Quizlet.

Spend about 3 months on this one have around 3 years Linux experience.

Hope this helps anyone sitting or considering sitting the above exam.

Congratulations! I'm currently taking a Linux+ course at my local college. Besides what you mentioned, was there anything else that jumped out at you that you could see people might struggle on?

    Congrats.

I'll start preparing for it soon. Now finishing Linux Essentials on Cisco NetAcad - a free course with hands-on labs... This should cover the LPIC Linux Essentials certification.

I'm using it just to refresh the stuff. I would recommend it to everybody, because as I'm reading about LX0-103 here it is exactly like the Linux Essentials there - 3/4 of the course is aimed to commands and their switches (even though it is not so deep). I would say it is a good start for this particular exam.
