I am using the Comptia N+ self-study guide by Anthony V. Chiarella, which I'm finding a slow , poor read. Not a lot is sticking. The tech notes from this forum are a lot better so is the Fast Pass by Bill Ferguson. Any recommends please

    Mike Meyers All in One Guide Network+
    or even the Passport Certification Guide edition of above

    both are equally good, the passport edition removes many details assuming you are already familiar with the concepts.

    I purchased Exam Prep 2 Network + study guide by Drew Bird and Mike Harwood. This to me is an excellent book that is easy to understand at any level of expereince. Along with the tech notes, this is the way i am going to study. Good Luck!!!

    I used the Technotes from this site, and Mike Myers books.....no problem..

    The Fast Pass is a great book but not enough on it's own.

    Sybex for Detail, Fastpass for skimming/memory jogging is a good combination

    Used the following to prepare:

    Home lab with 4 computers.

    LAB BOOK: Network+ Exam Cram 2 Lab Manual (ISBN: 0789732939)


    MAIN STUDY BOOK: Network+: Covers 2005 Exam with CDROM (ISBN: 0782144063)


    SUMMARY READING BEFORE EXAM:

    Used the tech notes from this site and self study notes + Cramsession MEGA GUIDE (that guide is pretty expensive but superb for the "days before reading").

    It's not a must with the lab computers. The above books and guides etc will make you pass without a doubt if you know everything really good.

    I also took a bunch of demo tests to get used to the test situation.
