no one reads the All-in-One Security+ book?

looks like everyone uses a "Gibson" book. What's wrong with the All-in-One book?

Also... is Security+ just a stepping stone to other, better security certs? Because I never see any job ads looking for Security+

There's nothing wrong with it in my opinion, it's just that the Gibson book is a great resource (at least in my opinion and the previous posts that I've seen).

I would have to say yes, but which certification you will take will depend on what area or aspect of security you would like to be involved with (e.g., GRC, Red/Blue Team, Network, etc.)

I used the all in one book and passed first time. I do see a lot of mention to the Gibson book on here, for the Network+ i had his book and also passed first time. They both must cover the required topics, so you shouldn't go too far wrong with either of them IMO.
