While this wasn't created as study material for IAPP, it is a really solid document published by the ICO. It will cover many topics with authority.

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Human Rights have released a free Handbook on European data protection law 2018. It has been designed to familiarise legal practitioners not specialised in data protection with this emerging area of the law. You can download it here:

    Hi,

I have recently completed the CIPP/E exam but unfortunatley I've failed it - I was really close passing it since my score was 293. Do you have any advice on how I can pass this exam? - is there any chance to find samples i.e. of problem questions so I can practise? or is there any helpful material other than the book?

    thanks in advance

Is anyone aware of any quality CIPP/E practice tests aside from the 30 questions offered by the IAPP? I’ve asked IAPP and they don’t give much guidance.

I haven't taken the exam yet, but i ran across a book by Jasper Jacobs titled "European Privacy Law Practice Exam." He has 90 sample questions which he wrote himself, stating that he tries to mimic the phrasing in the exam and that his questions are slightly more difficult than the actual exam. With that said, I haven't taken the exam yet, so I can't speak as to whether or not it's accurate.

    Hi Friends,
I am CIPP(E) certified and work in InfoSec and Privacy domain. I prepared for the exam all by myself, have compiled a proper training material  and shall start teaching the exam aspirants at a very nominal fee which is a small fraction of the whopping £3000 average fee which institutes charge for 3-4 days course, that to without any guarantee of passing the exam.  If due to some reasons, you do not get through your exam, you will get a 20% fee refund, and 40% discount in my next training program.
All live training will be weekend classes over web and will try to accommodate your timing requirements. Not only that, I shall be sharing a soft copy of training material compiled by me. This training will be flexible, span over total 12 hrs (8 classe x 1.5 hrs) and spread across 4 weekends and followed by tests. If you wish to join my classes and succeed, please mail me at skscbi@hotmail.com, I shall share with you rest of the details and schedule of training. Note: I don't own any commercial institute.

Hi All - newbie here. I'm considering taking the CIPP/E and I'm planning to buy the second edition of the IAPP textbook. I have a reasonable general knowledge of privacy/data protection matters, and I'm planning to largely rely on this textbook.

I don't see any second hand editions advertised on the usual sources. I was wondering if anyone has any tips about this? I know there's a CIPP/E Facebook group, but I don't have a FB account. Are there likely to be 2nd hand editions available on there?

Thank you and best of luck to All!
