Questions about the Pentest+, taking the Pentest+ soon!

Hello fellow geeks! I'll be taking the Pentest+ soon and I had some questions for those of you who have taken the exam. I currently hold the A+, Net+, and Sec+ certifications and work as an IT Specialist/SysAdmin. I also have been active in ethical hacking for about two or so years now. I'm constantly searching out information and challenges to improve my abilities. I've performed a short but real pentest in the past and done tons of challenges and CTFs since I started hacking and I currently try to do at least one HTB or VulnHub box per day. So far I've gone through the Jason Dion Pentest+ course and read the Sybex study guide and have been actively preparing for the Pentest+ for about a month. Given this info should I feel prepared to go ahead and take the Pentest+? I feel like I'm definitely overthinking the exam as usual lol but I always wanna make sure I'm as prepared as I can be. Also this may not be true but I wanted to know if exam participants have to produce a real pentest report during the exam in order to pass? Any info you peeps could share would be much appreciated, thanks! :smiley:

    Not taken the test, but as I try to collect resources anyway (and tend to over prepare) these would be some addons to your current preparations:
    • Pearson IT: CompTIA PenTest+ Cert Guide Book (Safaribooks)

    • Packt: CompTIA Pentest+ Certification (~8 hours video, Packt/Safaribooks)
    • LinuxAcademy: PenTest+ Prep course (~10 hours video + practice exam)

    • McGraw-Hill: CompTIA PenTest+ Certification Practice Exams (500q)
    • Sybex: CompTIA PenTest+ Practice Tests (1200q, May 2019)
    I heard it's quite tricky but from your experience it sounds like you should be ready. Someone with actual experience will be more useful as a response though :wink:

    The format is basically the same as the A+, Net+, and other CompTIA exams. Mainly multiple choice, with a few drag and drop type scenarios. No Pentest report.

    Security+, eJPT, CySA+, PenTest+,
    Cisco CyberOps, GCIH, VHL,
