CISSP Passed (provisionally)

Passed the CISSP yesterday. Was a tricky one. Finished at 100 questions.

Studied heavily for about a month. Here is what I used, all are recommended:

1) Sybex Official Study Guide v8.
2) Boson practice tests.
3) Mike Chapple video courses on Linkedin Learning. (This was very good. He wrote the book!)

For the Mike Chapple videos; ; if you haven't already used it, I recommend using your 30 days of free LinkedIn Learning for these.

A month of study is a hint that working experience helped to pass the exam.

Thanks all. So for the experience questions, I am retired military. So lots of technical and security experience there. Since then, a few years in infrastructure, then a few years in IR and SECOPS.

Mactex, hi, a question, let's say I get the Linkedin Premium free trial and I watch all the videos of my interest in 2 weeks and then cancel the Premium subscription, they shouldn't charge me anything, should they? Is that how it works?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    Carlos.

That sounds right to me. I have a free year (veteran), so haven't had to cancel yet. Just remember to cancel before the 30 days.

You bet. Happy to help. Another tip I should mention that might be helpful is that I downloaded the LinkedIn Learning iPhone app to watch the videos while travelling.

Does Mike Chapple video courses on Linkedin Learning go to depth needed?

I would say so, although the CISSP is not really that "deep" technically. That said; the questions are asked with an expected amount of prior knowledge. It is a management exam.

Personally, I don't (I've watched them). I believe that the Kelly Handerhan's CISSP video's on Cybrary does better job on that.
