I’m still about a month before I’m ready to take the route and then I got a jump in to the switch should I just start studying for the new exam should be done with it in February. Thoughts. Since money is tight I figure I only have to pay for one exam

You must pass ROUTE and SWITCH before Feb 24th to be able to migrate to Enterprise Core. If you only pass ROUTE or SWITCH before the 24th, it will not migrate and you will have to start over.

I think you are going to run out of time for the current track. Keep studying and learn the new requirements and do the new exam

Depends...what do you do at your job ?
Daily Cisco networking stuff for a couple of years ? Then --> hurry up and do your exams.

If you do the CCNP just for educational reasons and you do not work with Cisco (yet)...WAIT !!!

@toddboucher ... you did not state your experience. If you are using it on a daily basis, then it would be a small challenge to complete your CCNP.
