Today morning, I took Pentest+ and passed with scored 809. I found that exam is mostly focus in pen testing tool usage especially to Nmap, Netcat, arpspoof etc..and the process, documentations related pen testing and scripting. In additions, understanding and interpreting attack patterns are also essential for Pentest+. Please be carful in performance based question and they are insane. If you have no knowledge related web pentesting and basic programming, there will be big problem.
Material used
- All in One CEH by Matt Walker ( a little bit of support)
- CompTIA PenTest+ Study Guide: Exam PT0-001 by Mike Chapple and David Seidl (recommended)
- Hand-on experience with tools (Kali Linux) (recommended)
