How much has the CCNA changed?

powerfoolpowerfool Member Posts: 1,666 ■■■■■■■■□□
I originally studied for the CCNA in 2000 and finally sat the exam in 2007.  I later completed CCNA Security and CCNP Security, but let them expire as I moved onto other things.  I am being asked to prepare to teach the CCNA, so I will have to either sit the exam or do the Cisco Academy "train the trainer".  I will probably do both, but I am curious how much it has changed over the past 13 years.

I couldn't give you a break down about what has changed over the past 13 years but my understanding is there is a 15% change from the CCNA of 2 weeks ago to the new exam. You won't find frame relay on new exam, nor will you find EIGRP.
Take a look at the exam objectives on Cisco site - https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/ccna-exam-topics as a guide.
    I would start there

Yeah, the CCNA has always been notorious for having outdated topics.  Seems like maybe it is easier.
