I'm back in the saddle. It's been a while so I figured I should make a Introduction!

I look forward to seeing everyone.

Heck yeah, man. It's been a while. Do we have a Discoord channel or anything like that? :)

Got married, a kid and got a more IT customer service role and I'm a manager at Taco Bell, too. Now I'm getting divorced and sort of unhappy I took this job.

Started to learn how to trade currencies but still not really satisfied at my current job - and I've always wanted to cut my teeth into the Network Administration role.

Started to look at the new certifications (Trying to build my resume) and started to look into CCNP Collaboration and found myself getting that feeling I once had in the past. So yeah. The bug hit my again. But since I let my CCNA expire, I'll need to start over again.

Sorry to hear about the divorce

So you work two jobs now? Is one of your jobs in the evening? I imagine time management is difficult

Good luck with the CCNP, great feeling to have. Have you considered cloud? seems to be a great path too and in demand

Nope, no text chat or voice service set up by InfoSec Inst and I can't say there has been any demand for it. I would lean towards Mastodon should such a need arise.

And welcome back! I'm glad that you remembered TE!

Meh. Stuff happens, Unix. Trying to be up beat about it all. Yeah. I work my IT job 8-5. My Fastfood job after that... I tend to be a closing manager (10/12 to 5am). and I was also studying markets (Forex) and investing for a little bit. Gotta get that money somehow. I'm trying to get this Network Job at my work I was relayed a job posting and got that heart racing again so I knew I was in the right place.

Hard not to remember TE. I spent a lot of time labbing and reading while working on my CCNA way back when. I don't have my lab gear anymore I had to trash them in the move... a rack full of networking gear isn't easy to carry around. :)

I'm trying to find my cisco certs. I know they're expired but just showing that I had them at one point should help me get the job.

Depends on the day actually. Each day is different to balance sleep/work and as much daughter time as I can get.
    Mondays:
    7p to 5p: IT
    5p to 6:30p: sleep
    6:30p - 8:30p: daughter court visitation
8p - ??: nap. Depends if I wake up earlier and if I want/need hours.
10:30p - 5a: Taco Bell. We close to having new orders at 4am but may not be able to leave until 5 or 6am because we need to finish cleaning and I have to finish manager paperwork. Generally I don't get to sleep until 5 or afterwards.
    5a~ to 7am: Sleep

My goal is to hit 40 hours at both jobs. Paying child support eats into my checks, so I work harder to try to make the difference.

I'm extremely motivated to make this job opening mine and get twice the paycheck and cutback / 2-weeks notice to Taco Bell.

Cisco redid their certification program and no longer has prerequisites for CCNP level certs.

OMG, your tight schedule is really inspiring one. I am also thinking to go like this but somehow I am more lazy. You charged me, thank you for sharing your valuable timing schedule.

Welcome back and as well.  Keep grinding you'll do big things.  You would think the networking team would love to get their hands on you since you had the CCNA previously.  You all don't grow on trees.
