need help in subnetting question.

You have been given the 172.18.0.0/16 network. Your company requires 250 subnets with the same number of hosts per subnet.

How would you answer this? please, help.

er 172.18.x.y/24, where X request each subnet 1 thru 255, and Y equals 254 hosts per subnet.

The question is a little confusing, it seems like they are asking for exactly 250 subnets with 250 host per subnet, but I don't think this is even possible.

I interpret the question to ask for at least 250 networks with at least 250 hosts each, so the /24 is good to meet the requirements.
