Freelancing??? (serious)

I'm writing this question to ask what are my odds of freelancing? I want to work as a dev, but it's a well known issue that I have an arrest, but despite the fact that its expunged and there was no conviction I wholeheartedly believe that I don't stand a chance at getting a regular dev job since I have some relevant experience can I become a freelancer?

Have you actually tried to get a regular dev job or do you just not want to have a regular dev job?

And why create a new discussion thread for a topic that you have created previous discussions for?

I haven't tried because I'm not qualified enough and even if i am qualified i'm pretty sure i still won't get hired because of my record . I think i did made a discussion before about this, but the thing is I actually want a serious answer and not get any mediocre ones like from last time.

Ah, well, maybe you should try reddit. I hear there a bunch of really friendly, knowledgeable people over there.
