Linda here.  I have 25+ years in IT and narrowing down a broad skillset into a cybersecurity and project management mix. Hope everyone is doing well!  :-)

G'day Linda and welcome to Tech Exams!

Are you planning on doing any certifications? What are your career goals? :)

Thank you UnixGuy. Yes, I plan on completing my current courses of Security+ (mostly a review) and CYSA+ then CISSP. The plan is to get at least the CISSP, and possibly the CYSA+ too, as I hear it's more technical and the CISSP is more "business application". Unless I misunderstood.

I have my CAPM, but am working to hopefully write my PMI-ACP (Project Management -- Agile Certified Professional) in the spring and eventually my PMP.

It all keeps me out of trouble.  Oh, btw, E Double U, did I pass?  :-)

Those are awesome certs to have, they definitely have a massive return on investment! Good luck

Thank you UnixGuy, good to hear, I had occasionally wondered if I'm on the right track. I was sidelined a couple of years ago by a less than beneficial takeover and the skillset went a tad stale on paper while dealing with it, that made it harder to jump.  I have been volunteering and helping friends to keep my hands-on experience up.  Ah, just might work yet!

People keep telling me "It's a journey", but can I have a faster car? :-)

To earn all those certs and the experience/knowledge that come with them, it sure is a journey! I sometimes forget the blood/sweat/tears that it took to earn the certs that I have but it is definitely been a journey

you will do well, there is a shortage of skilled people so it's a great time to be in the industry
