ChatGPT for certification study

I'm wondering is anyone else is using ChatGPT to study for certifications. I find asking detailed questions that include the name of the certification vendors sometimes returns fairly accurate information.
Consider the following question reworded in progressive levels of detail:
  • what is defense-in-depth
  • what are the layers of the defense-in-depth strategy
  • what are the layers of the ISACA defense-in-depth strategy
  • what is ISACA prevention, containment reaction, recovery, restoration
  • what is ISACA PCRR model

The information returned by ChatGPT a very nice alternative to traditional search engines for data mining information.

HOWEVER...

You will also see how different the results can be with only the slightest changes to the query. In the above list, bullets 4 and 5 returned two different descriptions of the ISACA PCRR model. I assume one is from older information and the other is the newer, revised model. ChatGPT does not return references of where it gets information, so it won't be replacing Wikipedia anytime soon.

Anyone else have any useful ChatGPT interactions or queries?

I ran it yesterday for the first time on a cloud risk assessment. I was quite pleased with the output. Will definitely leverage this more.

Because I couldn't resist, here is ChatGPT's response to jdmurray's question "Anyone else have any useful ChatGPT interactions or queries?":

Yes, here are some common questions you can ask me:

    1. What is the meaning of a word or phrase?
    2. Can you summarize a piece of text?
    3. Can you provide general information about a topic?
    4. Can you translate a sentence or paragraph into another language?
    5. Can you answer general knowledge questions?
    6. Can you provide advice or suggestions on a specific issue?
    7. Can you write a story or article on a given topic?
    8. Can you generate creative writing prompts?
    9. Can you provide information on current events?
    10. Can you generate computer code for a specific task?

These are just a few examples of the types of queries you can ask me. Feel free to ask me anything, and I'll do my best to help you!

FYI: "I'm sorry, but as of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021..."

So ChatGPT is not something to use (yet) for current events.

ChatGPT appears to be a good teacher and was / is very useful to me when I've been learning to code.
