How to set up Dual Boot Win98 & Win2000

I what to know Win9x and Win2000 like the back of my hand for the OS part of the A+ Exam.
The only way for me to do this is to have both OS's that home. I really would appreicate it if someone would tell me how to do this.
I have 98 but I have to spend $139, for Win2K

. With a dual boot and study each day for an hour for 3 weeks I know I will be able to pass. If any of you are in the san diego area say so. Thanks again.

Install Windows 98 on a partition, after perform a new/clean installation of Win2000 on a separate partition (mainly to ensure a separate "Program Files" directory for each OS, but this will also allow you to use NTFS on the partition where Windows 2000 is installed...)
The boot menu will be created automatically.

Will Windows XP work with Win98 under these conditions? I have XP on my primary partition, and I don't want to have to reinstall it in order for Win98 to work as well. Does Windows 98 have to be on the primary partition?

win98 needs to be installed before win2k/xp unless using third-party bootmanager.

Ignore the line: "For a dual boot between Windows 98 and Windows 2000, it isn't necessary to install the operating systems in a particular order." This is incorrect, corrected in the following document: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3ben-us%3b293089 this document also shows how you can 'repair' the system when you did install Windows 98 after you installed W2000.
