MetaFrame Presentation Server 4.0 - Printer Groups?

JLLJLL Inactive Imported Users Posts: 74 ■■□□□□□□□□
Does anyone know if it is possible to create Printer groups in Citrix? We currently have about 60 network printers setup through several servers that I have imported into Citrix. I would like to know if it is possible group them into several groups and assign them so that users at one physical site will not see printers at other sites.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think Citrix has a way of doing this but you should be able to do it using AD permissions, on the ACL for a printer there is a Special permission of Read I believe that if a user does not have the Read permission they will not see that printer when doing a search in AD.

I have not had chance to try it but that may be an idea

Create a group for each site and only allow that sites group the read acces to that sites printers.

Open up the Management Console and look at the Profiles node. You can create a profile that imports specific printers and then you can assign it to users, servers, IP address, etc.
