Aquabat wrote: block sizes basically determine how you find your subnets for a given subnet mask, for example: a /30 is 6 bits on 2 bits off, ( 11111111.11111111.11111111.11111100) that is 252, you take 252-256 which gives you as block size of 4 so your subnets would be 0,4,8,12,16 etc..... or 240 -256 gives you a block size of 16 so your subnets would be 0,16,32,48,etc... the lammle book explains it all it really helps you on determining wildcard mask ranges too! watch your time on this exam icnd'ers
