That's a very average income, which without a degree is not that bad at all imo.

I think adding a MCSA/MCSE or CCNA for example to your resume could make a good difference.

Yep, have to agree here. It's not your certs, it's what you have done and who for and at what level when it comes to experience.

If you spent 5 years doing PC support for a small business of 10 staff we would know that 99% of that 5 years you were probably sitting there picking your nose.

5 years PC support for a userbase of 5000 and we would know that you were into something new every day and used to juggling faults by urgency and importance as well as building up great skills dealing with users as well as a certain amount of time planning and rolling out projects and new rollouts / mass upgrades, etc, etc.

This is the stuff you need to be selling when moving to a new job and needs to be on your resume.
