MS Live Meeting - Has Anyone used this before?

Any thoughts on it - good or bad? I may have to teach my wife how to use it (and of course load it on my pc, etc.) since their company uses it.

I have downloaded some docs on it and seen a demo on the 2005 version of it. It looks ok.

Just wanted to know if you guys had any thoughts on issues with it, likes or dislikes, etc. It's another piece of MS software that I will have to learn, but learning is NEVER a bad thing, its how to prioritize them thats my problem

These distractions are taking away from my 70-270 study time.

I've used livemeeting at a couple of different jobs, as well as some of the Microsoft webcasts that I've sat through over the years. LiveMeeting works pretty well, I don't have any real complaints, but I haven't really administrated it, myself. From what I can tell, it integrates with other Office products, including SharePoint and Exchange, so you can collaborate and share files, as well as allows you to do things like display your PowerPoint slides live on the broadcast.

so far I have seen what you have said. The company uses it for remote training and report collaboration, etc blah blah blah

It doesnt look complicated to use, (which is why I am sure they use it

)

I guess I need to dig deeper and see if there are any security or other issues I need to be on the lookout for.

BTW, speaking of Sharepoint services, anyone have good links on that? I am trying to further distract myself

by downloading the trial office 2007 (I did the beta testing as well) and learning about Sharepoint and Groove 2007 and how they work

Check out the virtual labs and webcasts on Microsoft's site. Just search for "SharePoint" and you'll find lots of good stuff, everything from training material to live classes to attend.
