Home Lab for 70-290
For those of you that have taken this exam, what did you need for a home lab?
I'm using VMware and am wondering how many Server's and workstation's I'll need to setup.
Thanks

hi,
I just used 2003 installed directly on a pc ( no VM ) and used terminal services session for most of the client work.
Worked for me.
Good Luck

Well, at the very least 1 client and 1 server, but 2 or 3 servers with 2 clients is much better. If you have enough diskspace you can easily create more and simply not have them all running simultaneously.-EOS- wrote:I'm using VMware and am wondering how many Server's and workstation's I'll need to setup. -

2 DC's, 1 Member Server(which often was a terminal server) and three clients(2 PC's 1 thin-client)
You don't really need that much but I just like to play around with this stuff until my head is going to overload with information

Currently I have one server and one XP client. When I get deeper into 70-290/291 I'll probably knock together another server and client.
