Took me 3 weeks studying 3-4 hours a day during the week and 15 hours per weekend.

Used the Cisco Press BCRAN self study for Cable and xDSL, the Cisco website for MPLS and Dynagen/Dynaips for MPLS, SDM and the device hardening stuff.

Having done the PIX and SND exams in December the IPsec, IOS firewall and IPS stuff was pretty easy.

Overall the exam feels more like its part of the CCSP

Make sure you practice troubleshooting MPLS and install a copy of SDM and do all the device hardening, VPNs, GRE tunnels, IOS Firewall and IPS stuff. After running a wizard in SDM check the running config to see what it has done.

For the MPLS, VPN and GRE stuff get it working then break it and see how the routers react. eg. for VPNs setup mismatched IKE policies or crypto maps.
