Why backups are so crucial

I sent this article to a bunch of my colleagues. Really shows the importance of verifying and performing test backups -

Story Highlights
• Computer technician accidentally wiped out huge data file and the backup disk
• File related to state fund which pays dividends to Alaskans from oil revenue
• 70 people worked weekends, overtime for six weeks to re-enter the lost data
• Error cost the state $220,000

    Wow..... I sometimes don't even feel safe enough having 2 off site rotations with our backup........
