Okay since i do plan to go on to CCNP after CCNA i figured i'd ask this here:

instead of buying more 2500 and 2600 routers, should i look into buying 3600s? I can get a 3600 with 64mb ram no flash for $60... now, i think i can get the IOS from a disk i got from ciscokits, and because i plan on maxing out the routers, i'm not worried about it having no memory... should i go for it? i'm also eyeing a few network modules for it. The main reason for this is if i'm going on to CCNP and possibly further, why should i buy another 26xx or 25xx if it won't be as useful in the future.

additionally, will the 3500 series switches support everything for the CCNA (ie, can i buy a 3524 instead of 2950) < or should i just bite the $250 and buy a 2950? :-p

its a 3620 for $60, with rackmounts, console, power, and 64mb dram. the seller says the flash was removed because the "client" requested so. (my guess is that next week they will be selling faceplates and flash mem. for them :))

is that a decent price or .../?

its got about 8 hours left on it so i'm trying to make the decision tonight as i won't be awake in 8 hours :-p

i figure the flash and a few modules and it'll be a decent router for not much more than $150...

i decided to go ahead and grab it. now if i could only get this 2950 i'd be fricken cake.

I'm currently the high bidder with under 11 hours left, so if by chance all the other bidders are at work tommorow when it ends, i might be able to pick it up for less than $150.

I'd prefer less than $200 on my budget, but the ones i'm looking at now (seller has 2) are WS-C2950-12s

I got mine off ebay with one of those "make an offer" deals. 12 port like the one you're bidding on for 170 (plus 25 shipping). If you can stay at or around 200 with shipping you're getting a good deal.
