How many domains for VTP transparent mod support by default??? What is the maximum?

I think VTPv2 supports only 1 all together. (Our network engineer calls it 'mixed mode')

Thanks!

    Aquabat,

Since your certification list shows you are a CCNA, I will assume you have that knowledge. So how many times can you configure "vtp domain <domain>" on a Cisco Catalyst switch running IOS? That should answer both of your questions of default and maximum.

    I'm thinking 1...

why would you need 2 domains on one switch?

I suppose it depends on what exactly your question means:

    1) How many VTP Domains can be configured in VTP Transparent Mode?

One... in fact, only one for all VTP modes.

    2) How many VTP Domains does VTP Transparent Mode use?

None! VTP Transparent mode does not read VTP packets. (Except for Version 1 as described below)

    3) How many VTP Domains can VTP Transparent Mode pass along?

All of them! Transparent mode will forward all received VTP advertisements. (In Version 2). In version 1, Transparent Switches must have a matching VTP Domain/Password.
