I couldn't find any other thread similar to this after searching for a while, so I wanted to get one going. It would be great if everyone could post pictures of their current home or work lab (Big or Small). Hopefully we can get the CCNP/CCIE folks to post in here as well.

It is MS Visio, it is very good for creating a whole range of network diagrams. Also most network vendors provide huge stencil collections so you can add their products to your neat diagram's.

I saw those Skele Tek racks on ebay. Are they pretty sturdy? I need a rack and an access server to finish my lab.

Those racks own! VERY sturdy... Moderately priced for what you get. I just cant find them on eBay anymore and the website is pretty much down bc half the links don't work. I emailed them this morning but so far no response...

hmmm.I got the seller's ID saved, maybe I'll try to contact them and see if they will put some more on ebay.

did you know that your setup is almost exactly the same as mine, only i don't have a surge arrest, and i have 3 2924s and a 2950-12 (my 2924's are like your top one.)

Awesome! Yeah the 2924s are going to be replaced by some 2950s next...

I LOVE the APC too... helps with the cabling. Keeps the equipment safe in case of a storm and I love the one switch to turn everything on... Yeah I am THAT lazy.. lol

home made. i used the rack rails that you can find all over ebay cheap. i accidentally bought the 12u ones, though,

i should of got 16u.

i got a 2509 access server now too... i'd probably trade my home made rack for yours. where did you get it, and for how much?

Where did you get the fiber modules for the 2924's? Expensive?

Anyways that looks awesome. You could practice a lot of topics with that topology. STP, VLAn,VTP,port based security, routing protocols in a broadcast network. The works as far as L2.

Well my lab is allot more modest than most of you guys but it's a start:

I have a 12 port 2950 that I haven't added to the stack yet and just today I finished making loop-back plugs for the 2 ethernet ports of the 2600's. The top router is a 2502, then a 2610, and at the bottom is a 2612 with a nice 8 port serial card I managed to get at a decent price on Ebay. I hope to buy another 2950 here soon (other one I have is checked out from work) so I can play with those and eliminate the loop-back plugs from the routers.

i need another 2620 or better myself.. anything 100mbps and supports 802.1q really.

I got it off ebay. The guy is currently not selling anymore but I think the store will be up shortly, end of the month or so... Mine was ~120 shipped if I remember correctly.
