I've got CCIE R/S in 2000 (#64xx), but I have been away from networking since 2004. (Of course my R/S is expired)
I've just started for CCIE security, and preparing written and lab at the same time.

I'm purhasing my own gear for lab, but I need some review on them.

4 x 2621 (16MF/64MD), IOS 12.3
2 x 2611XM (32MF/128MD), IOS 12.3
2 x 3550-EMI IOS 12.2
1 x PIX515e v7.x
1 x IDS 4250 v5.x
1 x ASA 5510 v7.x
1 x VPN 3005 v4.7
1 x ACS s/w v4.x (Where can I get it?)

By the way, is there anyone who preparing ccie security in Chicago area?
My timeline is about 3-4 month.

Thanks...

Looks fine. I went with 2 unrestricted 515s and an ASA 5505 for WebVPN.

Sept 19th for R&S (San Jose)

I've decided to become a member of the CCIE Lab of the Month Club. Security Dates are available in San Jose, so I'll probably focus on that. So I'm going "backwards" again with the Security Lab first, rather than my long forgotten plan to get the R&S first.

    Thanks mike,

I believe you make it a great day today!!

Now I'm shopping around for lab workbook. I think IPexpert or internetworkexpert could be good choice. Can you recommend one for me?
