Rename registry key via cmd prompt
Does anyone know how to rename a registry key from the command prompt? I've tried the reg switches and googled, but I haven't been able to do so. Anyone?

Try Creating a Registry File (.Reg) using notepad or any other text editor. Place the file where ever you like and then from the command prompt simply type the name (or location\name).

I agree with mega, create the one you want and use reg import or use reg add with the values you want, then reg delete the old one. Same net effect as renaming.All things are possible, only believe.
