ccna vs intro+icnd
TMM3
I might have overlooked this, although, my questions is that I purchased the study guide for this ccna exam, specifically 640-801.
If I were to go with the intro and the icnd tests what would I want to study say for example the intro test as opposed to the icnd test?
Also, which do you feel is the best route to go, the one test or both tests?
Thank you

Since you already bought the 640-801 Cisco press book, I would go the one test route. I do not think taking the two test route is any easier or harder. Taking the two test route will require you to answer twice the amount of questions.
If you want to take the two test route, I would just pick up the Cisco press INtro book. Then use the CCNA and Intro both to prepare for ICND.
There is no best or worst route as far as taking the tests. It just depends on what you want to do.

Thank you for the reply.
What I did is purchase the exam cram 400 page book labeled CCNA Exam 640-801 from the book store. I did see an Exam Cram book that was 800 pages for the same exam. I wasnt sure if I needed the 800 page book or not, any thoughts?

This first one is 800 pages and it is for 640-801 only.

This one if 400 pages and is supposed to be for all 3 tests. I find this very odd that the larger book would be for a single test. You would think the book that is supposed to prepare for all 3 tests would be the larger of the two.
To be honest with you, the 800 page book seems like a better deal for the single test route just becuase it seems to go more in depth. But looking at these links, the 800 page book is "Exam Prep" published by examcram.(first link) The second is an actual examcram book. Was the 800 page book you saw at the store examcram or examprep?

Yes, the 800 page book did seem like quit the deal although it seemed pretty thick to be carrying around everywhere like I do with these books.
I purchased this one here:

You should be good to go. Just make sure you get a simulator or a couple routers. take lots of practice tests and use the Cisco warp articles as a second reference.
