SQL 2005 books

So, I'm a newbie when it comes to SQL. I don't want to be a DBA by any means, I just want to know my way around SQL, know how to secure it, know how to do enough in it so I can configure it for other applications such as MOM/SCOM/etc... Anyone have a good book for this? I don't want something that is 1000 pages, I'm thinking more around the 400-500 page mark.

I was thinking of the following book, but it only has 3 reviews. Anybody else have comments on it or another book that fits the description I am looking for?
