Question from Sybex book

I'm re-reading some chapters and re-doing the chapter tests from the Sybex book to prep for my Intro test Monday morning.

I missed 2 of 20 questions on the Sybex book Chapter 3 end of chapter test

I don't fully understand the explanation on Question #11 - which I missed. Can someone please explain?

Q: Which of the following IP addresses fall into the CIDR block of 110.68.4.0/18? (choose 3)

A. 110.68.8.32
B. 110.68.7.64
C. 110.67.6.255
D. 110.66.3.254
E. 110.65.5.128
F. 110.64.12.128

I think I will be ready Monday morning. I took the practice test on this site and got 97% missing one question. I hadn't taken it for 2 weeks (when I got 77%) so I don't think it was memorized.

I get 94% on Transcenders. But I'm still nervous.

well it looks like that block will range from 110.68.0.1 - 110.68.63.254 64 being the next subnet.

But I don't see 3 that fall into that range.

The next subnet would be 110.68.64.1 - 110.68.126.255? And only 2 of the answers fall into that range..

BTW..the book answers are B,C, and E.

From what I can tell, in order for that question to be correct, with the answers they have listed, the SM should be a /22 mask, which allows for blocks of 4.....

Network Address : 110.68.4.0
Hosts : 110.68.4.1-110.68.7.254
Broadcast Address : 110.68.7.255

Have you checked the errata for the book? The question seems to be pretty jacked up.
It's not a CIDR block since they appear to be subnetting a class A network. If they really meant CIDR then it's probable 210 vice 110. Just a WAG...
