hello everyone,

I am starting to study for CISSP.

So far I have the Shon Harris book and DVD set.

Two web sites I found that are very helpful are:

http://www.cccure.org/
http://www.freepracticetests.org

Just curious if you guys had any other recomendations?

The preplogic quiz me series audio cd's were pretty good. I ordered the lecture series but they sent me two copies of the quiz me instead so I cant comment on that. I think you can get both the quiz me and lecture cd's for the CISSP for 99 bucks.

I just posted what I used in another topic on these forums. I can't say for sure whether or not it worked yet since I am still awaiting results, but it seemed to be prepare me very well for the exam.

The Shon Harris AIO book was probably the most helpful out of all the books I used. I would highly recommend using the Official (ISC)2 guide to the CISSP CBK as well. There are some areas it covers not reference in the AIO and some areas mentioned in the AIO not covered in the OIG. While a lot of the information is repetitive I am glad I picked up both books. The Shon Harris book is a MUCH easier read however as the organization and flow of the book is much better, so I would recommend using it first. After reading the practice tests were very helpful (not for memorizing answers to questions you go wrong but for identifying your weak areas and getting you used to answering questions). I used the practice tests on the www.CCCure.org website (older practice questions and with some grammatical errors, but still helpful) and the ones on the CD included with my AIO version 3.
