Where to next

I have worked for a vendor for 23 years. I work on pcs, networks, cisco gear, servers. etc. Have 20 plus years experience but had no certs. Decided to try to the CCNA and the deadling motivated me to try the exam prior to the 11/6 for the deadline of 801. I passed the exam on Monday.
I am now ready for the next challenge.
I was thinking about A+ or Net + or both before plowing forward on the Cisco Security certs.

Any advice would be appreciated.
I don't claim to be an expert, but I sure would like to become one someday.

I personally would try for the harder certifications as they will benefit you more and should be easy to attain with 20 years of experience.

I agree with Mirsha - those certs won't add much credibility to your 20 years experience. Go for the CCNP or CCSP.

I agree with the others. You may also want to look into get MCSE also if you work with Windows Server 2003. If you do that you can do Security+ instead of A+/Net+ which would count as an elective for MCSE.
    Working on: MCSA 2012 R2
