How did you get your MCSE?

I would like to know how you got your MCSE certification.
Which way worked for you?
1) Self-study? Buying books online, stores, get help from forums...
2) Attend classes (eg. EXCOM, Monash IT Pro...), paid high fees, get help from instructors??
3) Join online classess (e-learning), (similar to attending classes but you do everything at home)??
4) Any other ways that i dont know?

And also who pays for all the costs?
1) You
2) Your parents, family
3) Your company
4) Your bank personal loan?
5) Others

How I got my MCSE status:

Self-study with:
Books from MS, Sybex, Syngress, O'reily, Examcram, etc.
CBT's from Trainsignal, Learnkey & CBT Nuggets.
Exam Sims: Preplogic & Transcender.

Class based learning at my local college (which is also a MS Academy).

Online learning with MS elearning.

But most important: Experience in a large multi-domain/muti-site domain for at least 3 years.
