Ok so here's my question....I'm graduating this week if all goes well...
Well this evening a friend of mine @ an ISP here in my city just found out i have my CCNA and that I finish my degree this week. So he has me shoot him my resume to be submitted for an interview as a jr network engineer. He said there will be a pretty nice test coming up for me setting up a network with vlans, routing, and such. I said ok should be alright with that until he added the VPN part on a PIX. I've never done anything with a pix as of yet so my question is are there any recommendations to give myself a crash course in using a pix. I know it's not possible to be really ready for that section but I'd like to get my self on track to learn it.
Let me know if there are any good recommendations...

You can check the Cisco Security Appliance Command Line Configuration Guide for what ever version of the PIX software.
Here's the link to the 7.2 Version VPN section
Shoot a quick look at the VPN Newbie thread for the quick nickel tour. The basics will be the same between a PIX/ASA and a router, so you can practice on a couple of routers -- but there may be minor command differences between the PIX and the IOS configs.
NMC ( www.netmasterclass.com ) has a PIX/ASA LearnIT Module available (still available at the Summer Price) if you don't have the time to get the CBT Nuggets for the PIX/ASA.

Get PEMU (search this forum and you'll get some more info.) and your own PIX Image/Serial and you should have all you need to play with setting up VPNs on them.We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place? -
