Weekend Gigs?

I currently work a fulltime job as a Sys Admin (mostly a windows environment). I was wondering if anyone knows of any means to find part time Weekend gigs or anything. I ask for 2 reasons,

1) Extra income

2) Gain some extra experience (ie - Cisco, Linux etc...). Although, I am aware that if I'm only being hired for a weekend project, employers are probably looking for some one very proficient in those environments, it wouldn't hurt to get some hands on with something new.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

    Give Craig's list a shot: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/cpg/

Maybe post your own ad with your credentials, availability, etc.

If you follow dynamik's URL be sure to change the location to where you live unless you are looking for work in the MSP area.

You could try visiting www.craigslist.org it will go by your cookies to pull up your last used location if you have used their site before, otherwise it will prompt to to select your location.

Yea, I needed a location to post an example. I just assumed a CCNA would have figured it out ;)

    ;)

I'm actually quite familiar with craigs list. I'm going to browse around there later on, and perhaps make a post of my own. I'm ashamed to say, that as a CCNA, I have very little hands on cisco experience, and my current job won't change that much.

Hence my desire to seek out some weekend gigs.

You guys know of any other sites?

You might also want to try this link.. http://www.onforce.com/ . I know this is better than craigslist.org in terms of sourcing temp jobs, and the board does get really busy sometimes. If you are not too particular about type of tech stuff you want to do then some of us guys might find this place very, very interesting.

You might want to hand your resume to companies like teksystems or others to try and find a temp part time job. Also just start asking people at work what they have experienced and try to contact others that may know information. Growing your contact list is a good thing.
