people go for LPIC ,RHCE etc etc.But what after that?isnt there any cert/goal like CCIE (for Cisco guys) and M$ certs (for Micro$oft)?
a CCIE earns 100K+.isnt there anything similar for Linux people?
I heard/read somewhere that RHCE also go for Solaris Certs. Is It so? I mean which are the Grand certs of Linux? Linux + --> RHCE --> ????
In a nutshell what linux guys dream of getting? (careerwise of course!!)

I think RHCA (RedHat Certified Architect) + LPIC-3 are the top Linux certs at the moment.

RHCA = 5 exams at around $750 per exam.
    LPIC-3 is (I believe) 6 exams (LPIC 1+2 pre-requisites included) at $100 per exam.
    MCSE 2003, MCSA 2003, LPIC-1, MCP, MCTS: Vista Config, MCTS: SQL Server 2005, CCNA, A+, Network+, Server+, Security+, Linux+, BSCS (Information Systems)

I personally would consider RHCE to be at the same level as CCIE. I have known a couple of people who took the RHCE and said it was tough. Of course it is comparing apples and oranges.
    Working on: MCSA 2012 R2
