I'll find out for sure tomorrow

the theme of this quarter is cleaning up the damn mess

so many things done incorrectly in the past and we're fixning it and redoing our data center to look professional

we have some servers that are old retired PC's and are domain controllers DHCP , and DNS with no redundancy

our boss took a tour of a real data center and came back and said what the f do we have so we said we've been asking you for money to fix it and he agreed to pony up the cash we need to fix it

I just tested this on Enterprise and Standard versions of 2003 server, and I did not have to reboot.
