Confused by test numbers

Ok, now I'm a little confused. I passed 822 the other day and now my Cisco.Com/go/certification login reads as follows:

A.2 Complete All.       
                     A.2.1   Complete 1.     (640-811)  ICND.   
                                                     (640-816)  ICND2.   
                     A.2.2   Complete 1.     (640-821)  INTRO.   
                                                      (640-822)  ICND1.

So this means I have to pass INTRO (821) and then ICND2 (816) and then ICND (811)? I thought I just needed to pass 822 (for CCENT) and then 821 (to award CCNA), but it says Complete All.

Am I being too vague? Sorry I'm just confused by all these tests! Can anyone tell me what the next step after 822 (which awarded CCENT) should be for CCNA?

You can either take the 802 composite or the 822 and the 816 to obtain a CCNA: http://cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le0/le9/learning_certification_type_home.html

The Intro (821) and ICND (811) exams are retired. It does look confusing when represented that way. All you need now is 816 in order to obtain your CCNA.

Cool -- thanks. That's what I thought but they worried me. I am new the world of certs -- my experience is mostly academics and on-the-job.

Here's how to read that. In order to read that, you need to go up two steps to "CCNA (v.3) Complete All. Expires every 36 month(s)."

So, in order to achieve CCNA certification you must:

A Complete 1 AND
B Complete 1.

Let's start with the easier one. To satisfy "B Complete 1." you need to agree to the Cisco Career Certification Agreement that should have been part of your 640-822 ICND1 exam that you took.

Now, to the hard part. To satisfy "A Complete 1" you have the choice of:

A.1 Complete 1 OR
A.2 Complete All

The "A.1 Complete 1" refers to the "CCNA" exam which is currently the 640-802 CCNA exam. However, since you mentioned you've taken and passed the 640-822 ICND1 exam, then you're following the "A.2 Complete All" track. So to complete the requirements for "A.2 Complete All", you need to complete:

A.2.1 Complete 1
A.2.2 Complete 1

Since you have taken and passed the 640-822 ICND1 exam, you have satisifed "A.2.2 Complete 1" because:

A.2.2 Complete 1

(640-822) ICND1

In other words, when it says "Complete 1", then it means "pass one in the following list." So as far as the A.2.2 Complete 1 requirement, you're completed. So here's your situation:

A.2.1 Complete 1 - Yet to be completed
A.2.2 Complete 1 - Completed with (640-822) ICND1

Therefore, you now need to take and pass either the (640-811) ICND exam or the (640-816) ICND2 exam in order to satisfy the "A.2.1 Complete 1" requirement which will then complete your requirements for the CCNA certificate.
