2600 IOS upgrade help

I'm trying to upgrade my 2611 from 12.1 to 12.3 and I have been reading instructions from cisco.com
I am using a solar winds TFTP server version 9.1.0.111.
After installing it, it picked up the IP address I have from my isp xx.xxx.xx.xxx
What IP address should I assign to Ethernet0/0 on the 2611?
Cisco says that I should be able to ping the TFTP server from the router.
I have the image.bin in C:\TFTP-Root.

Is there a better way?

Here is my error message.
Router#copy tftp flash
Address or name of remote host []? xx.xxx.xx.xxx(ip address from isp)
Source filename []? c2600-i-mz.123-19.bin
Destination filename [c2600-i-mz.123-19.bin]?
Accessing tftp://xx.xxx.xx.xxx/c2600-i-mz.123-19.bin...

Hi,

PC IP= 192.168.2.2/24 -->TFTP server
Ethernet0/0 192.168.2.3/24 -->Router

Then when you got this "Address or name of remote host ? 192.168.2.2

You have to do this:

Router---Switch--PC --> use straight cable.

I did exactly that and I still couldn't ping the TFTP server.
It's something about what you wrote that made me go into control
panel and disable windows firewall.
IOS upgraded.

Hi,

Just be sure that the router and the tftp server are in the same network, that'll work, also that version of the tftp server you have to started first, go to File-->Configure-->Start, after that you are ready to go.

Go here http://tftpd32.jounin.net/ and get his TFTP server. It will be a lot easier.
