SCCP over a WAN

Is the Skinny protocol able to be maintained and transmitted across a WAN? Say my Call manager was in Atlanta and my phones were in Dallas...? I come across these 'hosted Call manager/PBX' companies and just wanted to get everyone's opinion.

Yeah -- while it is a proprietary protocol (now owned by Cisco), it does use TCP/IP.
