reading exchange logs

Hi

I'm just wondering what people like to use for reading the logs.... I know you can go to the tracking options in the exchange snap in but if your looking through the .log files what do you use

I tried excel but the record limit was getting in the way

any one have some suggestions

If you're dealing with Exchange 2003 logs, you can import a log file into excel, it will bring up the text import wizard, and you can make some adjustments to organize all the message/smtp tracking data into their own columns so you can easily remove a lot of the data you don't need. Haven't tried this with Exchange 2007 log files yet.

I was using excel but it has a record limit of 67,000 ( I forget the exact number) and I was loosing in for so I'd have to look through the first batch then the 2nd and so on

was a bit of an annoyance when I was looking for logging on a paticular message so i thought there must be something out there that is better
