MCPD Exams and retyping all the code?

I'm training for the MCDP and the courses are using the Microsoft Press books. Theres many Labs within the book but the book also comes with all the completed code for the labs. Should I be typing out all the code or is it acceptable to just run the code provided and step through it?

I've never studied for this specifically, but I find that new concepts stick much better if I retype everything. It also gives me a chance to troubleshoot any errors that arise from typing errors. If all the code is really simple and you understand it, it would probably be a waste of time to retype it. If it's all new and fairly complex, typing it out would probably be beneficial. It's up to you.

I would type it all personally, then I would get a better look at the code rather than just the output or the errors.

But as said it depends if the code is complex or as easy as A B C to you.
