BSCI exam the exam engine

just a few things that I wasn't clear on over the marking of the exam.

do you get points in the labs for show commands and verifying the configuration, or do you just get marked on commands entered?

do you have to save the config for the exam engine to count the config

if anyone knows for sure, this is the kind of thing I lose sleep over, cheers

The function of the SIMs hasn't/doesn't change from the CCNA to the CCNP

You get graded on the required commands having been entered properly. If Cisco wants to test your knowledge of the show commands and verification commands, they usually do it in a SIMLET. But the commands to verify the required configuration usually are there and work -- even if your task didn't explicitly say to do so.

That said -- I usually do a copy run start before I exit the SIM and I've still managed to pass.

Slightly off topic from your question but for the love of god don't forget to do a copy run start before you click next. The last time I sat a Cisco exam the guy next to me accidentally hit next before doing a config save and pretty much quit the exam right then and there.

That was stupid. I know people freak out about it, but it is not required. There is another post from today somewhere regarding this topic.

guys I got the feeling from sitting next to him that he'd already done pretty poorly up to that point and just flipped out.
